I graduated from Plainview High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  I transferred to Winona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with Middle School Mathematics emphasis.

This is my second year teaching at Triton.  Prior to that, I was a substitute teacher in Dover-Eyota and Plainview-Elgin-Millville for 10 years.  During that time, I coached seventh grade softball for eight years.  In the past, I have also taught summer school and worked as a paraprofessional in special education during summer school.

I believe learning should be fun, and teachers should use a wide variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of each student in the classroom. I am really looking forward to getting to know my students and learn what they enjoy and how they learn best.

Personally, some of my hobbies include playing softball, playing volleyball, traveling (my favorite destinations are Duluth and Cozumel, Mexico), fishing, and snowmobiling.  The most important people to me is my family, especially my four nieces (Rachel, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Adley) and my nephew (Aiden).

I am looking forward to learning together with my students!
