About the program

Family Consumer Science (FACS) isn't your typical homemaking classes that some usually think of.  FACS is Career and Technical Education. That means it not only prepares students to survive and succeed as adults but also prepares them for careers. Students acquire skills and knowledge that are essential for success after high school whether they choose higher education, to join the workforce, or the armed forces.

About me:
My name is Cassidy Breer, this is my 3 year at Triton. I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in May 2018, where I majored in Family Consumer Science Education.  I graduated from Rushford-Peterson High School in 2013.

Although I love all areas of Family Consumer Science, Child Development and Family Studies is my favorite. This interest stemmed from growing up in a large family. I have 2 older brothers and 3 older sisters, as well as one niece and two nephews. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, gardening, baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I am excited for the 2020-2021 school year. It will be a year of learning and growth.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or concerns. I look forward to a great year!
