Welcome to 4th Grade!
I am so excited to be teaching at Triton for my tenth year. This is an amazing school, with amazing students and staff. In my classroom, our expectations are to be responsible, respectful, and treat each other like family. I also have an open-door policy. I'd love for you to come into our classroom at any time and join in our learning. It's always nice to have an extra set of hands.
I believe that all students have the ability and right to learn. I believe that it is my job to foster the love of learning, and in turn, encourage all students to become lifelong learners. It it also my responsibility to meet the needs of all students, whether it is an area of weakness or strength. I understand that every student is different and unique and posses talents that can be incorporated into my daily instruction. I believe in collaboration and teamwork, especially in the classroom setting. Together, I know that parents and teachers can significantly impact a child's life. I know that through the use of technology and other advancements, our students are becoming more prepared for their future endeavors. I feel fortunate to be in a position where I get to work with children and I take my role very seriously. I believe that I not only need to foster their curiosity, but also their social and emotional health. I believe we need to encourage students to make an impact on the world in which we live by positively interacting with each other, members of their community, and beyond. I believe we must teach students how to be a integral part of society. I consider teaching these students is the most important contribution I can make.
