iPad update:
(also appears in Triton Times Sept-Nov 2016 issue)

iPads - We will begin the third year of our iPad initiative. The functionality of the iPad will continue
to improve. We have worked to repair reported issues that have been a frustration in the past. The
management software that is going to be on the iPads has been upgraded. IPads are a great learning
tool for our students to benefit from 21st Century learning. We will not be offering the insurance plan
this year. We have decided to just bill students for the cost of the repair if it is damaged. I really need
to emphasize the importance of taking care of the iPad. The iPad is school property that we need
students to take care of and be responsible for. We have incurred breakage of the devices that is related to misuse and abuse. It is the student’s responsibility to care for this electronic device. We have purchased new protective cases for the iPads. These are a higher quality device to help with the protection of the iPad. Any student that has an unpaid fee from the previous school year will not be issued back their iPad until they have paid the fee. A letter was sent home at the end of the school year outlining unpaid fees.
