Thank you for taking the time to visit my Welcome page. My name is Haley Rossi. This is currently my fifth year teaching and my third year at Triton. I teach sixth and seventh grade Language Arts and absolutely love it! Below you will find some information regarding my background and myself.
A Little Bit About Me:
I was born in Rochester, MN in 1990. My mom and I moved to Arizona from when I was three. We moved back to Minneosota when I was nine. When we returned, we moved to Byron, MN, where my family lived until I graduated. I graduated from Byron High School in 2008. After that, I attended the University of Minnesota, where I received my bachelor's degree in English Literature. It was during that time that I developed a love for working with students, and my desire to become a teacher was born. After I received my bachelor's degree, I continued on at the University of Minnesota to receive my teaching license in Communication Arts and Literature, as well as my master's in English Education. My time there helped me develop into the teacher I am today.
After finishing college, I got my first job teaching in Rochester, MN at John Adams Middle School. I taught seventh and eighth grade Language Arts. I then went to work at Hayfield High School the following year. I taught seventh and eighth grade Language Arts there as well. From there, I came to Triton, where I have been happily employed for the past couple of years. I hope to continue working here as long as possible. It has been a joy every year, and the children I get to work with make my job the best I've ever had in my teaching career!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and pets. I also enjoy taking my dog for walks, weightlifting, shopping, reading and watching movies and Netflix. I currently live in Pine Island, MN with my boyfriend and four pets. I have one dog, a Golden Retriever named Triton, and three cats named Simba, Hercules and Jax. I love learning new things and visiting new places.
I teach because I want to offer students a stable, safe environment to grow as individuals. I teach because I enjoy guiding students to develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime. I want to students to discover their own personal strengths, and use those strengths to become passionate, well-rounded citizens.
I hope to make this year the best one yet!
