About Ms. Schreiber...

This will be my fourteenth year of teaching (my, how time flies!), and it's so nice to be back in Cobra Country. The staff at Triton High School prepared me and set me on my career path, and I'm glad to be in such a supportive environment. I truly love teaching, and my favorite part of the job is getting to know my students and discovering what they can teach me in return. While I have taught different elective and required courses, including every grade 5-12 (except 7th grade), this year at THS I will be teaching English 10, English 10 Honors, Concurrent English, Creative Writing, and Theater Arts. I will also be directing the fall play and the spring musical.

A little bit about  my background: I am a proud alumus, having graduated from Triton High School in 2002. After four years, I graduated Magna Cumme Laude from Northwestern College in St. Paul with a degree in Communications Arts Literature Education (a fancy title for "English Education"). My first teaching job came at Kingsland High Schoolwhere, in addition to teaching English, I was also responsible for the drama and speech programs. And for 8 years I taught English 9-12 along with AP Literature and Composition, and directed at Lewiston-Altura High School. Although I'm in a classroom 5 days a week, I also find it important to further my own formal education; therefore, in 2017 I received my Masters in Literacy Education from St. Mary's University. All of my experiences have taught me quite a lot, and I look forward to learning and growing more every year.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading as many books as I can, learning to play the guitar, traveling to new places, exploring the great outdoors, and re-watching episodes of The Office.

I look forward to a great year at Triton! Go Cobras!

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears the sound of a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away." ~ Henry David Thoreau
