Welcome! I am one of two new Industrial Technology Teacher. I am currently completing my degree in Agricultural Education at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. I am in the IT department because of my personal interest in "shop" classes. I was born and raised in central Wisconsin where I worked with my step-father on farm machinery, house projects, automotive repair, and more.
I was very active in my FFA Chapter; to which I can credit a great amount of my success in life. I was chapter President and Treasurer and have received my American Degree as well as receiving high marks for both my Welding/Fabrication Proficiency and Home and/or Community Development Proficiency. I worked at welding shop during my summers in High school and went on to get a technical diploma for Electrical Power Distribution at Chippewa Valley Technical College. After bouncing around at a few colleges I decided to go back to school for agricultural education. While going to school I have had many opportunities presented to me and have gained a lot of experience from them. Some of those experiences include working in various restaurants, a Tree care business, the UWRF Dairy Pilot Plant, and also a Food Process Engineering company. Through my involvement with the Dairy Plant I was blessed with the opportunity to Judge dairy products Internationally in Poland and also at the college level in the U.S.
I choose to be a teacher because I enjoy teaching students about meaningful skills needed to be successful in their future careers. I struggled as a High School student on deciding on first career and bounced around a lot. My hope is that I can help students narrow their options so they can save money and time. It is difficult to decide and is more than ok to change your mind along the way. I look forward to working with everyone over the next year and hopefully beyond!
