Course Description:

All hands in! This course introduces students to a diverse assortment of hand-building techniques in working with clay. Students will have a hands-on experience learning about the characteristics and capacity of clay. They will make coil pots, slabs, sculptures, and gain an appreciation for how clay has been used in the past and how we can use it in our lives today. Students will also learn about the firing process and how to use different types of glazes. Ceramics l will give students the opportunity to build an online portfolio of their artwork to track their improvement throughout the semester.
