📚🎉 The iReady Machine is here! 🎉📚

At Triton Elementary, our students work hard each week to reach their iReady goals- Grade levels compete to see which class has the highest percentage of goals reached.

This year, we have added something new—the iReady Machine! When a class reaches the top spot for the week, the iReady Machine visits their classroom, and students get to take a spin for a special prize!

Last Friday was our first prize day, and it was safe to say the students LOVED it! The excitement, smiles, and cheering were contagious! #wearetriton

Last week, students in 9th grade science explored the scientific method by hypothesizing and testing how far they could throw water balloons and successfully catch them. It was a great opportunity to apply what they have been learning and take it outside, while having fun too!

Our kids got hands-on with fire safety at the fire hall, learning crucial life skills and how to properly operate a fire extinguisher. A huge thank you to Dave and Isaac Kenworthy for guiding us through the training! It was an extra special full-circle moment having Isaac back to help—he actually completed this exact same fire safety training during his own Work Readiness class years ago.

Our kindergarten classes had a surprise reader! Mr. Van Beek came into the classroom to read a couple of books to our students. Pete the Cat is a favorite of Mr. Van Beek's, so it was a fun moment to share that with our newest Cobras! #wearetriton

As you walk down the main elementary hallway, be sure to check out our new bulletin board! We’re excited to see it fill up with the signatures of our elementary students, showing that every Cobra is an important part of our school community. Next time you’re here, be sure to stop by the bulletin board and find your student’s name #wearetriton
